  • Individual Swabs

Kauffman Pharmaceuticals presents our fully certified oral and nasal swabs for sampling. Our flocked swabs mark the newest evolution of single-use specimen collection devices. Flocking refers to a process of applying (multi length fibers) — called flocking — to an adhesive-coated surface to provide for enhanced sample collection.

Our flocked swabs have definite advantages for many applications. The swabs have a breakpoint a few mm’s away from the tip for an easy break into the cryogenic RNase and DNase free vials used for specimen collection.

Why Use Flocked Swabs for Specimen Collection

Flocked swabs are ideal for collecting a large amount of cells and rapid elution of the specimens instantly release the cells into the transport medium. It is well recognized and adopted by the diagnostic test kit manufacturers who produce reagents in molecular genetics, forensics, and clinical laboratories sectors.
